I recently read a great blog post by Lisa Marie jenkins entitled “The Power of Failure” However this article didn’t focus on “failure” rather it focused more on living up to your true potential and your innate abilities that you were born with. This article also included a great qoute from Marianne Williamson that I wanted to share.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
As many of you may have heard me say, “I don’t believe in failure, Failure only occurs if you stop trying.” As long as we “recalibrate” we can still get to our destination and achieve our goal. we have to keep the drive and belief in our hearts and in our head. After all, “Belief is the catalyst that sets Action in Motion.” If we continue to “recalibrate” our direction as a pilot does when flying a plane, we will achieve our ultimate goals. Lets not let fear stop us becasue we were only born with 3 fears, the rest we learned..
